When it comes to buying your first guitar, here is what every beginner guitar player like you should know. There are lots of things that you should consider when it comes to buying your first guitar. This is indeed a big step towards your guitar playing career. Choosing between electric guitar and acoustic guitar is normally the first problem you need to solve, but the most popular choice is the electric guitar, of course. It is way much cooler and easier to play compared to the acoustic guitar. The only upside of the acoustic guitar is that you could virtually bring it anywhere. You should also know which equipments are needed and necessary and which ones are too much. These factors that you should consider make it more confusing. But to make it a little less baffling here are what you should consider:
- Playability – try and touch it. Feel it, can you play comfortably enough with it? It is important that it is very much playable based on your preference because you will be the one who would be playing it.
- String height – or the “action” should be low to make it easy for you.
- Size and finish – pick a guitar size that would suit you, plus, choose a finish that you think is attractive.
